Frequently asked question - starter or dessert? It's a tough one and if we could we would definitely choose both, but on this occasion dessert was most definitely the winning answer. Let us tell you why...
While in Koh Samui, Thailand we were invited to spend some time at Anantara Lawana, Tree Tops Sky Dining and Bar. The restaurant itself is set behind the resort and spa in amongst the tree tops where you can privately enjoy a unique dining experience. The resort itself is beautiful and the perfect place to enjoy your time in Koh Samui. In line with this, is the restaurant which is absolutely perfect for a special occasion, the French and Mediterranean menu with locally sourced ingredients and it's interactive chef experiences with the guests keeps Tree Tops Sky Dining at the top of the food scene in Koh Samui.
We went straight in to the good part... dessert! It was a sharing platter which was brought to the table and served by one of the incredibly talented chefs. This was such a fun way to dine as we were not only able to watch the chef create the most beautiful desserts we have ever seen, but also get to know the chef, ask questions and enjoy the unique experience while at Tree Tops Sky Dining and Bar.
Our dessert board consisted of raspberry sauce, chocolate brownie, chocolate sphere filled with passion fruit coulis, chocolate coffee bar, rice crispy chocolate, white chocolate mousse, mushroom meringue, fresh strawberries, blueberries, mint leaves, vanilla ice cream, toffee ice cream, fresh macaroon powder and for the best bit... hot chocolate sauce poured on the chocolate sphere which is what you can see above. Do we really need to say anymore?! As we are sure you can all imagine each and every one of these desserts were absolutely delicious and we definitely recommend you choose the same option as us, as it would be impossible to choose one!
For a high quality experience, with delicious flavours set in beautiful surroundings, Anantara Lawana, Tree Tops Sky Dining and Bar is a must visit when in Koh Samui and always make sure that there is room for dessert!
