Please read all terms and conditions before booking. By enquiring and booking with Bite Around The World you thereby agree to our general terms & conditions
Our menus on the website are a guide to what you can expect. Our produce is sourced weekly and is seasonal therefore can be subject to availability and substitutions may be made without notice due to seasonality / availability / delivery interruptions & stock / supply chain issues. If substitutes are made, they will be of the same high quality.
Our portion sizes are known to be generous however they are our based on our opinion of recommended sizes per person.
When products are received, please keep perishable items in the fridge until you are ready to consume. We recommend consuming within 24 hours for the best quality.
UK food Standards explains that food can stay unrefrigerated for up to 4 hours. It is the responsibility of the consumer to dispose of the food if kept unrefrigerated past 4 hours to comply with UK food standards.
By agreeing to our terms and conditions, means the client is agreeing to dispose of any food left out of refrigeration for 4 hours.
Bite around the world will not be held responsible to any adverse reactions to our food consumed after this time.
You will be responsible for providing the table that you would like the food to be displayed on. A suitable table must be provided at the venue away from direct heat & sunlight.
Bite Around The World is also not responsible for the removal and disposal of food waste post-event.

Please note that our kitchen handles all of the 14 main allergens - celery, cereals containing gluten (including wheat, rye, barley and oats), crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, tree nuts (including almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts), peanuts, sesame seeds, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites
While we can make a gluten free / nut free box for example on request, however we cannot ever guarantee that there will not be traces of any of the allergens due to the risk of contamination in our kitchen. There is also a large risk of cross contamination within platters and grazing tables due to the nature of sharing food.
Bite Around The World will not be liable for any circumstances that arise where an allergy or intolerance has not been made aware to us.
All information for your event is required 72 hours in advance of your event, if any changes are made within 72 hours of your event, we cannot guarantee that we can process these changes.
We are unable to hold dates due to the volume of enquiries. A deposit must be made for orders over £100.00 in order to confirm your booking in our diary.
For boxes and platters, we deliver to areas within approximately 15 miles of Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Delivery is chargeable based on location or alternatively, free collection is available with prior confirmation. Collections must be collected at the time agreed, we cannot guarantee that we will still be at our preparation kitchen any later than the time agreed which may result in you not being able to collect your order.
For delivery we require you to be at home / to have a main contact at the venue. If no one can accept the delivery on the day, we will try to deliver to a neighbour – we will confirm this with you using the number provided on enquiry. If no one is home to accept the delivery and we cannot deliver to the neighbour, you will require to collect your order from our preparation kitchen at a time confirmed later that day. We cannot redeliver.
The food needs to refrigerated once delivered if not consuming straight away. We recommend that you consume it within 24 hours of delivery. Grazing tables and platters can be left out a maximum of 4 hours before disposing.
Payment must always be received in advance of the day that the catering is required. No payment means that the order has not been confirmed.
Deposits for bookings over £100 are required in order to confirm the order and are non refundable, only date changes if we are told no more than 7 days prior to the booking and if we have availability. Once the booking has been moved once, we are unable to move this date again if cancelled and no refund will be given.
For larger orders (over £1000.00) if you cancel your booking within 10 days of the event date, this will be non-refundable unless in the unlikely case that they are cancelled by ourselves. For orders under £1000.00 which are cancelled within 7 days of the booking are non refundable unless in the unlikely case that they are cancelled by ourselves. This is because we would have already purchased all the food for the booking which would need to be donated to a food bank.
We do not offer full refunds unless we are unable to fulfil the booking, which is very unlikely.
Due to the fresh nature of our produce, returns of perishable goods cannot be accepted. Should there be an incorrect or faulty item in your delivery we must be informed within 1 hour or the product being received to offer replacements or refunds. Images will be required.
Bite Around The World’s responsibility of the box, platter or grazing table & its contents ends at point of delivery to the address you provided.
